Where can I see my Establishment listing on the website?
We do not display Standard listings or your details. Your listing is stored in our data base.The enquirer will only see the details of your listing once you have replied and made an offer for an enquiry.On receipt of your offer , the enquirer will see the total price quoted , together with more details of your establishment, as per your information supplied when registering on our website, and up to 3 images.Your establishment can only be seen on website if you upgrade to a Featured listing , see below
How do I become a Featured Listing?
A Featured listing can display 1 picture and some information and this is seen by an enquirer. Enquirer can then click on your link and deal directly with you, via our website. Standard listings will not receive this direct enquiry . Only you will! You are more likely to receive a confirmed booking as a Featured listing ,but the commission payable is 20 % per confirmed booking and not 10 % as per Standard listings (both plus vat) As a Featured listing you will also still receive all general enquiries made for your type of accommodation and for your City.
SPECIAL LIMITED OFFER TO UPGRADE TO A FEATURED LISTING!
The first 2 establishments in every City /Area and under every type of accommodation, that request and become Featured establishments , will not have to pay the once only bedroom administration fee of R200 plus vat ,which is payable when you receive your first confirmed booking. To see an example of a featured listing ,click on Cape Town, self catering accommodation and view "Ascot Gardens"

What should I write in my offer to a guest?
Ensure you have entered full descriptions and details of what your establishments offers when registering . When you reply to an enquiry ,again highlight your special details, including the accommodation you are offering, catering and other services available and explain clearly how the total quote value is calculated. Make sure that you also include information about the distance of your establishment to the nearest soccer stadium, distance to restaurants and entertainment as well as the nearest airport, Availability of public transport or any other means of getting around. One line replies such as " We can offer you a room for your dates @ R 1000/night ,including breakfast " does nothing to help you sell your accommodation, and you are highly unlikely to receive any confirmed bookings.
If I have no availability for an enquiry,or dont feel comfortable to host enquirer, do I still have to reply?
No. Simply ignore or delete the enquiry if you have no availability, or if you do not wish to make an offer, for what ever reason.
How is your website advertised?
We are using different advertising channels, including Search Engine Optimization, Pay Per Click Advertising and E-mail campaigns reaching out to international travel agencies, soccer clubs, media, and other soccer related businesses and organizations, as well as individual travelers.
Do a lot of the offers made by establishments get confirmed?
At present, about 90% of enquiries made through Worldcup-Accommodation.co.za are getting confirmed by the enquirer at a price within his budget , within 2 - 3 days.
Can you provide some basic statistics about the rates & length of stay?
The average length of stay of all enquiries is 4.7 nights, ranging mainly between 2 - 9 nights. Rates quoted range between R200 - R3500 per person per night, however, the majority of confirmed bookings are those with rates in the region of R300 - R1000 per person per night.
Can I change my details after registration?
You can edit and change your details at any time by clicking on establishment login in and then edit .
Can I add more than 1 establishment?
Yes, you can add as many establishments as you would like to once you have signed up as a user.
If your establishment offers both self catering as well as bed and breakfast accommodation, you need to register your establishment under each type.This way you will receive all enquiries for your city for both bed and breakfast as well as self catering .
How can I load my images?
To add your images, please follow these steps:
1. Click here to login: http://www.worldcup-accommodation.co.za/admin/index.php
2. In the column "Images", click on "manage", a new window will open.
3. Click on "Add images", you can now browse for your images.
4. Add a caption, ie a short description of the image.
5. Click on "Submit selected images".
6. You can now see your images.
I have difficulties loading my images
The larger the size of your images, the longer it will take to load your images. This also depends on the speed of your internet connections. For use on our website and any other accommodation directory, we recommend that you use the WebResizer to resize your images.
To do so, go to http://www.webresizer.com/resizer/ and follow these steps:
1. Upload your images by browsing for your image on your computer, than click on "upload image" (the resolution of your image will automatically be reduced making it easier to load it)
2. Set the new size to 600 (width) and click on apply changes.
3. Once done, click on "download this image" (below the new image) and save the image on your computer. Please note that we use images up to 600px to allow the guest to click on an image to enlarge it. If you still cannot use the images to upload to www.worldcup-accommodation.co.za, please forward us three images and we will upload them for you!
If I accept a booking, do I not receive some deposit to secure the booking?
Once you have made an offer and the guest has accepted your offer, you will receive the full contact details, to make arrangements with the guest to pay the deposit / breakage deposit or full amount based on your payment terms & cancellation policy. It is up to you to ensure that you receive payment from the guest. Worldcup-Accommodation.co.za does not get involved in the enquirer /establishment payment process.
We haven't received any reply to our quotes?
Bookings currently get confirmed on a daily basis from visitors all around the world as well as from South Africa.
Kindly note however, that your offers are competing with other establishments offering similar accommodation in your area. If your rates are too high or your minimum stay requirements, payment terms & cancellation policy too stringent, or you are some distance away from the City centre or Stadium , it is unlikely that your offer will be confirmed at this time.

How long must i hold my rooms and wait for a confirmation?
Your offer is valid and binding for 3 days ( 72 hours) from the time and date you received the enquiry . If your offer is declined or the 72 hour period has passed , you can re offer these rooms to any other world cup accommodation and other enquiry. If the Enquirer accepts your offer during the 72 hour period , you must accommodate him ,or find the guest alternative accommodation . You are obligated to pay the relevant commission, plus the once off bedroom fee to World cup accommodation for this booking, even if you provide alternative accommodation.
If I have no availability for an enquiry, do I still have to reply?
No. Simply ignore or delete the enquiry if you have no availability, or if you do not wish to make an offer, for what ever reason.
My rates are higher than the budget stated by the enquirer, should I still make an offer? No. If you can't meet the expected budget, please do not make an offer to the enquirer. Even if you have a lovely establishment with fancy furnishings and great views,the likely hood that an enquirer will accept your higher rprice is minimal. You will be wasting both your and the enquirers time!
Can I ask the enquirer a question before making an offer?
No. But the enquirer can ask you a question once you have made an offer and you will then be able to reply to this question with your answer.
NB You are not allowed to provide direct contact details to enquirer to by pass the Worldcup booking system and not pay the commission due .for this referral.
What tips can you offer to get more confirmed bookings ?
a) Review your pricing for each offer you make. The enquirer does not see your details or your present advertised website prices .This means you can quote different prices according to each enquiry you receive, and average out your rate over this period.
b) Only reply and quote to those enquiries where you can match or better the budget per person that the enquirer has requested,
c) Offer discounted prices for longer stays or bookings that fill up some of the gaps in your booking calender .
d) Offer an incentive to encourage an enquirer to confirm his booking with your establishment eg, free airport transfers or transport to matches , a free meal, etc
e) Provide the enquirer with as much information of your establishment and advice as you yourself would expect if you were considering making a booking with any establishment in a city that you are not familiar with and also in a strange country .
f) Do not forget that the average soccer supporter is generally :a "worker " and is coming to watch the soccer and have a good time.
He is more likely to want a room with a shower at a good price he can afford rather than a fancy expensive room .
g) The majorty of the confirmed bookings made so far on the worldcup website have been with establishments who are charging no more than their normal high season prices or less!
